The history of PEGASO SAFETY glasses dates back to 1956, when the PEGASO car and truck factory contacted Dr. Luis Torrents, a licensed optician, so that he could design and manufacture prescription safety glasses for the production
line workers. This marked the birth of safety glasses, that soon became a reference for the market. Their quality and design soon spread their reputation into other industries and PEGASO SAFETY, taking its trademark from their first
customer, PEGASO, became a reference on safety glasses. In 1978, under the leadership of Mario Gorina, the company took a step forward by innovating and developing new ocular protection systems, and influencing in the creation of new
European regulations, at the request of the Spanish Ministry of Labor. Since then, PEGASO SAFETY has become a highly valued partner among leading companies in their sectors of activity thanks to its constant innovation, the quality of its products, their specialization in prescription safety glasses and for the tailored service it provides to its customers. Since 2006 Iván Gorina, grandson of the founder, leads Pegaso Safety. He combines tradition, experience in ocular safety
and his passion for constant innovation.
